Organic Ingredients used by The Pedicure Room

The Pedicure Room is an all natural and organic way to pamper your hands and feet. It was designed not only for hand and foot care but for relaxation and healing purposes, to help carry you through today in an environmentally safe way.

Here you'll find the natural ingredients used for our manicures, pedicures, and other foot and hand restoration treatments.

Almond Oil
People with nut allergies should not use this oil and you let your service provider know in advance so they can substitute with a different oil based product.  This is one of the most popular massage oils and is absorbed very quickly. Along with grapeseed oil you will find this very popular in body scrubs.

Epsom Salts
Pure mineral compound, and is also known as magnesium sulfate in a crystal form. Gently exfoliates skin and smoothes rough patches. Magnesium has been shown to detoxify, ease stress, relax muscles, relieve soreness, lower blood pressure, and help create a happy relaxed feeling.

Grapeseed Oil
Glides well on the skin, has moisturizing properties, and appears to assist with skin repair. It has mild astringent and antiseptic qualities.

Jojoba Oil
Softens and hydrates. Has been know to be the closest thing to our own sebum. An effective cleanser/conditioner. It's odorless and has been used to relieve skin conditions for centuries. Jojoba oil is sometimes referred to as "liquid gold'.

Lavender
Ancient Romans recognized lavender for its healing and antiseptic qualities. An aromatic flower that aids in stress relief. Lavender has a calming effect, great for multiple skin conditions, headaches and migraines. Used for acne, athletes foot comforting the stomach, used as a disinfectant, helps heal burns and insect bites, and works great on stiff joints and achy muscles. These are just a few of lavender's benefits, the list goes on!

Lemongrass
Relieves nervous exhaustion, reduce stress, muscular pain, poor circulation, and opens pores. Has great benefits as a muscle and skin toner, assists in clearing up oily skin, and revitalizes the body and mind.

Peppermint essential oil
One of the most popular essential oils and for good reason. It has a wide range of healing properties for a wide range of ailments. The list of ailment peppermint can help cure are endless but here is a small sample of what that list includes:
  • relieves headache quickly

  • can help with mild anxiety attacks and reduce nausea

  • helps in the relief of poison ivy and hives when applied directly to the skin

  • helps with coughs and colds and clearing up sinus problems

  • helps relieve achy feet or muscle aches

As you can see this is an extraordinary plant with wonderful healing properties!

Sea Salt
Mineral rich and contains marine extracts that neutralize the skin. Provides the "graininess" needed to polish the skin and is more exfoliating than sugar. Polishing the skin increases blood circulation while stimulating and eliminating toxins.

Shea Butter
Contains a natural latex, people with latex allergies should avoid this. Widely used as a body lotion by itself or added to lotions. Been found to be one of the best moisturizers.

Spearmint essential oil
Helps in digestion and relieves muscle spasms. Used for colic, hiccups, fever and upper respiratory problems. When used in a cream it can help with itching. Spearmint has almost as many beneficial qualities as peppermint. Used as an antiseptic, insecticide, restorative and stimulant.

Sugars (white and brown)
A gentler exfoliant than sea salt and is ideal for sensitive skin.
Soothes, smoothes, and moisturizes.

Pedicure room Tacoma - Did You Know?

Copper bowls used for pedicures draw out positive ions
(which are bad for us), neutralizing electrostatic energy in the body.

When soaking the feet in copper, the positive ions that
accumulate around us are balanced, leaving our bodies
ready to fight off environmental pollutions better than before.
